Bottleneck=Target Data Domain Some VM's

Post by mirzaa »

Hi Folks,

On our side we have DD2500 for default backup repo.We had backup speed issue some VM's. Our DD's config down below:

comp level:Optimal
Stroge Opt: Local trgt 16
Decompress backup data .. : Checked
User pr-VM: checked
Max concurrent job:4

On the slowest jobs we active full backups every day and like a disk backup. Selected 1 disk only.
like:
disk 1 = job1
disk 2 = job2
disk 3 = job3

On this jobs we sufficent bottleneck target %99 10Mb/sec I think too slow for DD

Thks your advice

Hi,

Well, your job settings go along with the best practices... What is your gateway server for that DD and where is it located?

Thanks

Do these jobs run in parallel? Is it 10Mbit/s or 10MB/s?

Foggy, No.jobs schedule diffent time. 10MB/s also check VM again on backup time not use very much IO.

I suggest asking our support engineers to review your setup.

make sure your file system isnt set to clean during backups or isnt throttled correctly on the data domain.

will look similar to this under file system configuration:

Clean ScheduleEdit
Time
At 11:00 PM, Weekly (Sun, Thu)
Throttle
50%
