You may accidently delete backups in your repo if you do so:
Lets Veeam backup to repo\JobJohnDoe_1\files*
rename it to repo\JobJohnDoe\files*
rescan
(steps above are not necessary i think)
click import files and select these files.
now you have got imported repo from rescan and imported from import.
because b&r does not copy on import, you have 2 links to 1 file.
if you select "delete from disk" on the new imported the rescaned files will also be deleted.
(i guess: veeam does not notice it until you rescan)
anyway it may be undesired, that veeam deletes files which are linked twice.
if you think you can save space you delete your whole backup accidently!
