Builing VM list takes long

Post by JorisK » Jun 13, 2012 11:06 am

Hi,

I have four backup jobs running simultaniously. Two of them start instant and two of them hang for something like one hour at "Building VM List".

When i check my backup server, it has 40% CPU load, 40% free memory. My VCenter server is almost idle and has plenty of free sessions availible. When i check the sessions in VCenter, it reports that the backup server is connected but nothing happens.

Someone here any idea?

VM list is retrieved from vCenter Server at the beginning of the backup/replication job, so there only reason that can cause it is vCenter Server itself. Try to start your backup jobs with 5 minutes interval, might help.
