Hi
I had in the environment old version 7 Veem Backup and I wanted to upgrade to version 9.
I had got info from support, that best to install v9 and restore all configuration.
I uninstalled from Windows 2012 Veem Backup 7 and I installed v 9.
The installation proceeded correctly
Unfortunately during restore I am getting the message: "Configuration backup file is created by unsupported version veem backup and replication".
Is this normal behaviour and the configuration from VB7 cannot be read to VM 9?

Hi, yes this is normal. Version 7 is not a supported version to perform upgrade from, as explained in the corresponding section of the Release Notes document for version 9.5. Thanks!

Provided your previous version was v7 Patch 4, you can import this configuration into v9 first and perform an in-place upgrade to v9.5.
