Can't Search?

Hello, we use VBR Essentials 9. I am finding that we are unable to search backups for files to restore.. do I need Enterprise Manager to do this? That seems odd.

Hi Justin, yes, to be able to search for files, you need to enable guest OS files indexing in the backup jobs and use Enterprise Manager.

Does Essentials license include Enterprise Manager?

Yes, it comes with any type of license.

Super... I am getting ready to upgrade from 9.0 to 9.5 and we will include it then. I am surprised it was not installed by default when we deployed 9.0.

It is not installed automatically, it has a separate installer.
