Cannot complete Veeam restore

B&R server in the US.
Veeam backup proxy on site in China, Windows guest on ESXI 5.1 host.

I haven't logged this as technical issue as I'm not sure I have a technical issue, but rather me being new to the software, I've missed something obvious.

Need to restore files from a virtual fileserver on the same ESXI host. Run through the wizard to select Guest Files (Windows). Start the process, loads the Backup Browser window, spins for a little while



and then fails with the error.



The link we have to the China site is slow (2MB) and I think this is part of the problem, but I don't know of any other way to restore the data. Can anyone help?

Matt, try to use Other OS restore wizard or fire up a separate Veeam B&R console in the China site and import backups there. During Windows FLR, backup file is mounted to Veeam B&R server, which could cause issues over a slow link.
