CANT FIND FASTSCP ANYWHERE!
Okay this is rediculose!
I went here to this link to download Veem Backup & Recovery:
http://www.veeam.com/vmware-esxi-fastscp.html
It says as clear as day! Veeam FastSCP
Now part of Veeam Backup Free Edition!
So I just want FASTSCP I don't need Veeam Backup! But I guess I have no choice as it comes with it.
So I go to download the 64bit version and install.
I am installing this on a Win 7 Ultimate x64 pc.
I finish the installation and I CANT FIND FASTSCP ANYWHERE.
I looked in INstallation folders I did a search! nothing.
can someone please explain how in the hell I am supposed to get FASTSCP on my PC
I want to use it for non other than its FTP capabilities!

Re: CANT FIND FASTSCP ANYWHERE!
Launch Veeam Backup and go to the Files tab. This is your former FastSCP.

So you now have to do a 800MB download and install the full product along with an SQL server to use the fastSCP product? Is there no standalone version?

Yes, you need to download Veeam Backup Free edition which not only gives you FastSCP functionality but also allows you to perform ad-hoc backup and recovery of your VMs, as well as many other features (see What's Inside section). FastSCP advanced very far since the last time you have used it, Veeam Backup Free Edition is a swiss army knife of any VM admin.

Re: CANT FIND FASTSCP ANYWHERE!
Did FastSCP have a fallback mode that used 'vanilla' scp when you wanted to do file copies to a non-Linux *nix system (eg, Solaris or BSD)? I never used FastSCP in the past, but I've seen plenty of blog posts that sing its praises, making me think it's worth a try. VBR8--free or otherwise--won't work with a FreeBSD target while something as trivial as pscp (the PuTTY implementation of scp) has no issue...

Hi Jim, FastSCP does not failback to SCP protocol.

On the last line, you read this
Veeam Backup Free Edition includes former Veeam FastSCP functionality. Looking for older FastSCP version? Download it here!
Thanks
