Case#04389163 restores using Enterprise manager failed after upgrade to latest Veeam 10a + Enterprise Manager

Post by evilaedmin »

After upgrades, attempting restores using EM web UI results in:
Failed to process file: bears.mp3
The filename, directory name, or volume label syntax is incorrect.--tr:Error code: 0x0000007b--tr:Client unable to process [get_file] command. Source: [\\?\C:\VeeamFLR\dfsprd12a_419cdc0c\Volume5\m_mount:\M\mamico\Desktop 2015\MARY pics\Marys video\bears.mp3]. Target: [\\?\C:\ProgramData\Veeam\Backup\Temp\vbr_3bfcbc2d\bears.mp3].--tr:Client failed to process the command. Command: [get].
Restores from VBR don't seem to be affected. Has anyone seen this before?

I submitted a log bundle of the last 24 hours (minimum I could select that would include all components). Support is asking for screenshots of the control panel to show product version number.

Looking at the log it looks like the key point is this command has failed on the VBR server, initiated by EM?

Code: Select all

[AP] (Client) command: 'get\n\\?\C:\VeeamFLR\dfsprd12a_bcceeb77\Volume5\m_mount:\M\user\dump\PulseSecureConnectionInstructionsWindows.pdf\n\\?\C:\ProgramData\Veeam\Backup\Temp\vbr_ea2aacc4\PulseSecureConnectionInstructionsWindows.pdf\nTrue\n'
Which is repeated by the FileRestoreCli_cli log on the Enterprise Manager server.

[MOD] debug logs removed, please follow the forum rules provided when you click New Topic.

We are also unable to mount to use Windows Explorer.exe to browse images under C:\VeeamFLR using regular FLR restore either, the option is simply greyed out. Feels like this is related as Enterprise Manager cannot access c:\VeeamFLR either.
