Catalyst Store migration to new StoreOnce
Hi All,
Long story short, I need to move all our data from a Catalyst store running on a StoreOnce VSA to a new StoreOnce.
I know that with VTL and NAS objects in StoreOnce you can configure replication jobs. However from what I've been able to find out it's HP Data Protector that manages the replication for Catalyst Stores.
However, because HP Data Protector does not understand Veeam objects it can't manage a Catalyst Store with Veeam items in it.
To me it sounds like I'm stuck with no way to get my data out of the Catalyst store into a new one.
Am I correct on this or does someone know of a way to do this?
Thanks,
David.

David, you can do that with the help of Veeam B&R file copy jobs.

Thanks Foggy, I don't think a file copy job can't select files from a Catalyst repository so it won't work for us.

Correct, sorry for the wrong link. You can drag-and-drop files between StoreOnce repositories on the Files tab of Veeam B&R console.

Re: Catalyst Store migration to new StoreOnce
So I've tried to test the file copy this morning. However I'm having issues.
I'm unable to create new folders on the Catalyst stores, I'm not sure if this is expected behavior for a StoreOnce with Veeam. The option is simply grayed out.
When I try to copy and paste a folder or file from one StoreOnce to another I get a "Client Server process Closed Unexpectedly" error.

Re: Catalyst Store migration to new StoreOnce
Right, it is not possible to create a folder on Catalyst via Veeam B&R UI. Actually, it does not have folders at all, Veeam B&R just represents Catalyst hierarchy in a more intuitive way.
