I would like to upgrade my Veeam v11 to v12 and currently we are using immutable repository (ubuntu 20.04) without single use credentials. As per the upgrade pre-req from Veeam v12 we must first change to use single use credentials. So I've followed this URL but then I found out after running the script, my backup files in repo no longer have the immutable flags.

Does anyone facing the same issue here?

Re: Change hardened repository to single use credentials for v12 upgrade
Hello,
Technically, you can just run "chattr +i" on your backup files (not the VBM files!), but one should check (support case number please), why your files are not immutable anymore. I tested the script some time ago and it worked fine.
Best regards,
Hannes
where did you see that? The KB article says "or"As per the upgrade pre-req from Veeam v12 we must first change to use single use credentials.
If you did not use root, then you don't need to do anything becauseKB4348 wrote:A non-root Account or Private Key that has sudo or su elevate capabilities with Elevate account privileges automatically enabled.
KB4348 wrote:During the upgrade to Veeam Backup & Replication 12, the persistent non-root account will be converted to a single-use credential.
I cannot answer that question, because there might be somebody I don't know. The script is setting "chattr +i" (which is setting the immutability flag) in line 22.Does anyone facing the same issue here?
what makes you certain about that? Any error message?my backup files in repo no longer have the immutable flags.
