Hello,
we are using Veeam Backup & Replication 11 Community Edition and it runs well.
Now one of the target backup hdd getting low on free disk space and I would like to change the 2TB HDD with a 4TB HDD.
Would it be possible to just copy the content from the old 2 TB HDD on a new 4 TB HDD and use the new 4 TB as backup target in the future with Veeam Backup & Repository 11 ?
Or will it be necessary to start a complete backup process from the beginning on the new 4 TB HDD?
Thank you for answer!
Kind regards

Re: Change of a backup HDD ??
Hello!
Assuming you're talking about external drive - yes, it's as easy as you think it is: you just copy your backup files to a new drive and continue using your existing backup job. Just make sure the new drive mounts to the same drive letter.
Otherwise, you can always repoint your backup job to a different repository/location that contains a copy of your backup files (using the Map backup functionality of the backup job wizard) and the job will continue the existing backup chain there.
Thanks!
