Change per VM license model

Hi all,

right now we have a 2 sockets B&R Essential license. We'll get a new server soon and this will require an additional 2 socket license. On the other hand the number of VMs is rather low (<10). Is it possible to switch from the old license model to the new one? I didn't got any feedback from the seller of our original license so far.

Does backups of physical server by VAW free count as VMs with the new license model?

Hi, yes I believe it is possible to switch to the new license model at any time, since it is subscription-based. And you should definitely be able to use VAW free regardless of your chosen licensing model. Thanks!

I've got a offer and despite the fact that I'm not a fan of subscription based licenses (here I'm old-fashioned and love to "own" my software), the financial benefits are significant.
