Changes to template not being backed up
I have a backup job to backup 1 template VM every night. Normally nothing gets backed up because the template rarely changes. But yesterday I converted the template to a VM, loaded recent Windows updates, and converted it back to a template. Last night the Veeam backup did not back up any changes that had been made to the template, but it said the job was successful. What gives? I do have deduplication turned on. Is it possible Veeam saw that those changes were already present in the backup somewhere and didn't need to get them again? The template is the only VM being backed up in that job, but I do have another job backing up 17 regular VM's every night.

Re: Changes to template not being backed up
Do you possibly have Exclude templates from incremental backup option set on the job?

That was it. I unchecked that option and ran the backup and it backed up the changes.
Thanks
