Changing ConfigStoreRootPath

Post by KDO »

How can I change the ConfigStoreRootPath?

KB2194 (https://www.veeam.com/kb2194) notes that once set, it can not be changed.

So how do I get it changed if the volume/storage it was on will be removed from our infrastructure and it needs to be on another volume/storage?

Hi Koen,

well, we will not recommend such change.
I've found some workaround on MS forums, but it is quite risky and not so easy.
If something goes wrong, in the worst case you will have to remove and re-create the cluster.

Please read this workaround description carefully to estimate the risks.
Also, did you consider any other options without changing this parameter?

Thanks!

Hi Rob,

Thank you for bringing this description!
I see it's more recent, though the "Microsoft Support way workaround" is still the same.

Thanks!

Natalia, Rob,
Thank you for the informative links.

Unbelievable that it so hard to change.

Koen
