Changing from Incremental to Reverse incremental

Post by HaroldC »

We've been running the Incremental backup for about 2 weeks now. We are thinking about switching to a reversed incremental. We just ran a full synthetic and currently do not have any .vib files. Is it better to switch between the two just after a full synthetic? Also will switching result in any new large vbk files or any large files at all? Or does anyone know of any potential issues with switching.

I believe that switching backup mode to reversed incremental will cause active full backup no matter at what point this was done. Particularly, to prevent any possible issues ;)

Thank you! That is what I was worried about.
