I have a backup server that was previously installed using custom user account (DOMAIN\USER) at this step - https://helpcenter.veeam.com/docs/backu ... ml?ver=120
Now I want to change it to LOCAL SYSTEM account, how do I easily change this?
I looked into Configuration Database Connection Settings, but there is no service account option like the initial setup wizard.

Re: Changing Service Account Settings on existing VBR installation
Hi Nas,
Just to confirm, you want to ensure the Veeam services (those in services.msc) are running as LOCAL SYSTEM?
Can you check in the Windows Snap-in on your server and confirm which account is currently in use for the Veeam services? I actually expect that you should see they're running under SYSTEM already as that will be the default Veeam uses.

Re: Changing Service Account Settings on existing VBR installation
Hi David,
Yes, I want to ensure the Veeam services (those in services.msc) are running as LOCAL SYSTEM.
The VBR in question was originally installed using custom user account (DOMAIN\BACKUPADMIN) at this step - https://helpcenter.veeam.com/docs/backu ... ml?ver=120
So due to that, in my Windows Snap-in the service VeeamBackupSvc and several others Veeam services are currently running as DOMAIN\BACKUPADMIN. I would like to change them all to LOCAL SYSTEM correctly (like default Veeam installation).
I wonder if it's sufficient to just change the logon as account to LOCAL SYSTEM in services.msc or is there something else need changing.

Exactly how to do it. I recommend as a sensible precaution to run a Manual Configuration Backup before making the changes, though it likely won't be necessary.
