Citrix Integration
Is Veeam planning to support Citrix?
We know we can backup VMs with agents, but we have long waited for Veeam to integrate with Citrix as the agent option does not meet our business / technical requirements.

Re: Citrix Integration
Hi Orlando and Welcome to Veeam R&D Forums!
If you're talking about the support of Citrix XenServer, please have a look at this topic; there are no plans for it. Could you clarify why agent backup does not meet your requirements?
Thanks!

Re: Citrix Integration
As far as we know, with the agent, we can recover the VM content but not the VM itself. Is there a way to recover the complete VM from Veeam?

Hi Orlando,
Many thanks for the clarification. Nope, there is no way to do it with Citrix XenServer.
Thanks!

Re: Citrix Integration
That's why we would like Veeam to support Citrix; what can we do to push this?

Re: Citrix Integration
@oreynoso I'm not a Citrix guy, but maybe have a scripted restore within Citrix to be a post restore task? If you're using Orchestrator, I bet you'd be able to facilitate quite a bit!

Re: Citrix Integration
@tkolstad We are not using Orchestrator, but we could find a way to get this to work, for example, by restoring the volume from the "bad VM" to a "new VM," etc. Still, we prefer to use another tool like Xackup that supports Citrix, which makes the restoring process more manageable.
Hopefully, Veeam can support Citrix soon.
Thanks,
