Cloud Connect Replication and Nuage

Post by baker_gt »

Hi guys,

We are looking at allowing our clients to use CC Replication.

One of the road blocks will be that we run an underlying Nuage DCSDN network. I.E. everyone is on the same VSwitch but Nuage injects meta data into the settings to make it onto its own network.

I know i have read CC will work with NSX, what about Nuage SDN?

Hey there Alan.

TBH, that is the first i've heard about Nuage SDN but i've taken a quick look at what they do and how they do it.

I would first ask if they have an Edge device such as an NSX ESG? If not you would be looking to leverage our Network Extension Appliance. They key is going to be if your tenant VMs are on seperate PortGroups or not? If they are then in theory you will be able to map source and destination... however VLAN management could not be done via Cloud Connect and it could get messy.

Where abouts are you based? Might be worth talking to one of our Cloud SE/SAs...

Hi, Sorry, i only just saw this got approved!

We can put in edge devices, to get things from their SDN to a VLAN, be its messy. I think it will be needed for internet way.

I am based in Australia. Who would i be best to be talking with?

You can ask your sales representative to get you in contact with cloud engineer or architect available in your region. Thanks!
