Cloudian compatibility
I'm working on a business development to build a public data storage service using a Cloudian storage cluster. Cloudian is AWS S3 compatible object storage. Will Veeam Backup & Replication work with AWS S3 compatible storage services like Cloudian?

Re: Cloudian compatibility
Tim, Veeam B&R Cloud Edition already has several other S3-compatible storages on its list of supported cloud engines (OpenStack, Scality). There's no Cloudian among them, however, you could try to connect using one of the listed accounts, just be sure to provide the valid authentication info.

Re: Cloudian compatibility
Cloudian is not currently supported, but is in our short-term plans.

Re: Cloudian compatibility
@foggy and @Gostev - thanks for your replies. I'm familiar with with Scality as we considered using them as a storage software provider. I would like to put Jay Desai at Cloudian in touch with someone at Veeam who he could speak with about "certifying" Cloudian. Gostev, would you care to let me know who that person is if it is not yourself?

Re: Cloudian compatibility
There is no need in any sort of certification. We will test our implementation as a part of adding support.
