Clustered SMB3 File Shares - Backup Options?

Veeam Logoby ccline19 » Thu May 18, 2017 5:45 pm

We are staging a 3-node clustered (server 2012 R2) scale-out file server and a generic file server, and one of the hot topics is "how do we back the data up"? We are a VMware 6.0 shop and already have Veeam Enterprise backing up our vm's

What are our options in using Veeam to backup the data?

Hi Chris,
clustered SMB3 is surely one of the options. I presented on this (and other topics) at the just ended VeeamON 2017, and one of my co-presenters wrote a blog post about this specific design:

Hope it helps.
