Hi everyone
Hope someone can help here. Community Edition, had 10 ESXi VMs being backed-up nicely for a long time. Introduced a couple of new VMs and decided that they were more important than than two that were were already being backed. Revoked the licences from two ov the VMs, license information now showing "10 (8 used)" as expected.
However, I am unable to assign licences to the new VMs. They do not appear in the list of licensed VMs and the "Assign" button is greyed out. I have tried removing the backups of the VMs I revoked licences from, but to no avail (they've obviously been removed from the backup job itself too).
What am I doing wrong here?
With thanks in advance.

Re: Community Edition: Unable to assign licenses to instances
Hi Stuart.
Licenses are assigned automatically when backup or replication job runs, so You do not need to point 1-1 relationship manually, just run them backups!
Assign button is meant to manually force Workstation\Server edition license to machines protected with Veeam Agent, in case the automatic assignment based on OS type (client/server) applied a wrong type.
/Cheers!
