Configuration Backup Monitoring status

Dear all,

I would like to ask if there is a way to centrally monitor the status of Configuration Backup on Veeam Backup & Replication servers, other than relying on the standard email notification reports.

As we are now managing several Veeam servers, monitoring configuration backup success or failure via individual email alerts is becoming increasingly difficult and inefficient.

Is this type of monitoring possible using Veeam ONE, or through any other built-in or supported method (for example, REST API, PowerShell, SNMP, or integration with external monitoring tools)?

Our goal is to have a centralized and more scalable way to track the health and status of configuration backups across all Veeam servers.

Hi Cdlan,

If you have a Syslog-compatible monitoring system, you can use our Syslog integration to receive Configuration Backup Status events: Event ID 40700.

#Update: Removed my statement about VSPC v9

Hello Fabian,

i read the post about VSPC and it says, at the end:

"As promised, new malware detection alarm is now released together with our new VSPC v9.

Other mentioned alarms are planned for our next releases."

So the configuration backup alarm is still not available on the v9 right?

I have just checked the alarms template and i couldn't find something related to it.

Our VSPC version: Server Version 9.0.0.30003 (19102025)

Ah, yes — my apologies! The topic title confused me.
That’s a great example of why mixing different requests in the same topic can be a bad idea

There are multiple ways to get this from multiple VBRs:

• Official API
• Official PowerShell
• Unofficial MCP - You can see, and even trigger the job

Great idea for Veeam ONE reporting.
