Confirmation of Skipping disks

Currently I am backing up a number of VM's using the veeam network backup method (backing up an esxi host with local storage). Its worknig much better then a few other products in that config (upwards of 60MB/sec). the problem is that I do have some exchange disks set in independant mode so they would be skipped, which is generating a job failure.

By searching it seems like network mode should skip those disk correct in the latest version of veeam.
If this is expected behaviour that is ok, but in the new version will there be a way to skip per VM disks in a large backup job?
