Confused why old VBK backups aren't being deleted

When I review the backups within Veeam Backup and Replication v7 R2 I have the following points available (as seen from a directory listing perspective):

However on the file system the following additional files still lingering/not being deleted:

I have the job configured to keep seven restore points scheduled as one point/backup per day, with a synthetic full on Saturday, and I have the VM retention removal policy set to 3 days. I'm confused as to why these VBKs are not automatically being deleted. This is happening on all of my jobs that I've configured, so I'm either doing something wrong on all of these jobs, I'm not understanding something, or there's a bug with having the files being deleted. Can someone provide some insight into what I might be dealing with? The backups are sent off to a NFS repository with vPower NFS enabled. I'm still a bit new to Veeam's B&R so I'm not doubting it could be me. Thank you!

Looks like records corresponding to these files are already removed from the database according to retention policy, while actual files are still in-place (probably could not be deleted due to being locked or something like this). I recommend contacting support to investigate that.

Thank you for the recommendation, I have opened up a low-priority ticket with them. I'll provide a solution once determined.
