Re: confusing backup copy
Hello,
and welcome to the forums. Questions like yours lead us to change how the GFS retention works in backup copy jobs with the next version (V11).
As for now: I'm sure that everything works fine. We know, that it might be confusing
Just give it a few more days (depending on your backup job schedule) and you will have your full for Friday... the backup copy job marked it already as full https://helpcenter.veeam.com/docs/backu ... ml?ver=100
If you really want to understand how it works, then I recommend using the restore point simulator and simulate by checking the "manual run" checkbox.
Best regards,
Hannes

Re: confusing backup copy
as I said, we simplify W/M/Y with the next version. But I'm not sure what you mean with "manual set"
Thanks, I fixed the link.

Re: confusing backup copy
now the backup retention period is defined by job setting, like weekly/monthly/yearly .
sometime i would like keep some backup may weekly to monthly, but i cannot manual change because all setting by automatically.

Re: confusing backup copy
You mean ability to change the GFS period assigned to particular restore point? From weekly to monthly, for instance? Currently, we do not have this feature.
For now if you want to keep certain GFS restore point longer, you can use Export Backup functionality - it allows you to export certain restore point as independent full backup.
Thanks!
