Convert flat archived files to "VeeamZip"?

Post by dkraut »

Not sure if this can be done? I have a lot of archived VM's that were simply copied to a Windows share using the datastore browser. Is there anyway to now convert those files using veeamzip to take advantage of dedupe and compression? I guess I could move them back to ESXi and then use VeeamZip to archive them back, but that would be really time consuming.

I don't think there are any other options, so it seems like the second approach is the only way to convert your VM images into VeeamZIP files.
