Copy Backup from USB to USB
We save our VEeam Backups to a USB External Hard drive (F:), can it be copied to another Hard for off-site storage?

Re: Copt Backup from USB to USB
Yep, it’s possible.
And what are the caveats, from your perspective, that might prevent you from doing it?
Thanks.

Time wise, they are large file and might still be copying when Veeam Backup starts.

What backup mode is being used? Reverse incremental or forward one?
Thanks.
Thanks.

Re: Copy Backup from USB to USB
Depending on your time window, instead of copying the backup over, why not create a second backup on the off-site USB drive?

Re: Copy Backup from USB to USB
In general, my idea was that if you’re using forward incremental backup mode, you shouldn’t be concerned with this, since previous backup files are never touched with new backup run.Time wise, they are large file and might still be copying when Veeam Backup starts.
Thus, there wouldn’t be any issues related to copying previous backup-files to external device while backup job is running.
Hope this helps.
Thanks.
