Copy backup job seed

Post by Robvil »

Hi

We are in the process of getting a fiber WAN connection at a remote site, which I want to use for DR for Veeam.

My plan is to create a Linux repository onsite, make a copy backup job from my onsite existing incremental backup to the Linux repository, and after a FULL backup copy has been done, I will move the Linux repository to the remote DR site.
Then i remove the Linux repository from Veeam. On the remote DR site i´ll change the ip address on the Linux server, add it as a Linux repository again and rescan it. Afterwords I change my copy backup to point to the "new" Linux repository - should this not work?

Regards
Robert

Correct, though, don't forget to map a backup copy job.
