Hi All,
If we want to copy our backups to an external USB drive every so often that isn't always connected.
What is the best way to do this?
And is forward incremental or reverse incremental going to be better for this task?

Re: Copy backups to external usb
Hi Ben,
You can use the backup copy job and USB as a target. You may also use several USB drives.
I would use forever forward incremental method as it works faster than the reverse one.
Thanks!

Re: Copy backups to external usb
Hi Nikita,
That's perfect thanks for the quick response.
One of our backups is using forward so that works fine, however our other weekly job runs in reverse, should we change this or just copy it as is?

Re: Copy backups to external usb
Backup copy job works as forever forward incremental or forward incremental if you make active fulls, so these modes are more preferable for the source jobs as well. However backup copy will work with source jobs using reverse incremental as well.
