Copy job history node not showing all copy jobs
Case # 07342251
We have the issue that on the history tab the backup copy job node is not showing the number of jobs you have configured in the history settings. Instead, it only shows some jobs. Sometimes 2 days back and sometime 5 days back or more. There’s no logic in what is shown.
According to support this is by design in the recent versions. It has to do with the immediate copy jobs.
I seriously doubt this is by design, since it doesn’t make sense to me.
Anyone else experiencing this issue?

Re: Copy job history node not showing all copy jobs
Hi Franc,
The inconsistent results seem a little unusual, so I would update the case and ask Support to please review that aspect a bit more, as I would not be expecting that you have such results but it's possible that the old sessions are being filtered out.
Out of curiosity, what is configured for this option in the Session History configuration? If you switch to "All Sessions" for the sessions shown, does the inconsistent History results become more "normal"?

Hi David,
the show setting for the history is set to 'all sessions'. And keep sessions for 52 weeks. So that can't be it.

Got it, thanks for checking; please then continue with Support and ask them to dig a bit deeper into the behavior and explanation. I would not expect inconsistent results and perhaps there's an explanation, but will likely require further review of the debug logs.
Should there be concerns on the handling of the case, use the Talk to a Manager button to contact Veeam Support Management -- they will review the case and assist with aligning further resources if required.
Thanks!

Will do. I posted the question here to ask if more users are seeing this behavior. Now that I know it's not normal I can report that back to support.

Thanks Franc, let's see how the case progress.
To be clear, I'm just not aware of a reason you'd see behavior like this, but perhaps there is an explanation, but Support should be able to check a few things further in the environment to help understand the behavior.

Re: Copy job history node not showing all copy jobs
Your suggestion to look at the options brought me on an idea. I switched to 'show the last 10' sessions. Then only 10 were shown as expected. Then I switched back to 'show all sessions' and voila, all sessions are now shown under the backup copy node. Looks like a bug to me and not as by design. I've reported this back to support also.
Thanks!
Thanks!
