Why are my templates allways failed in my copy job of a backup job, because he only creates a backup in a full backup, but can we not detect that a template doesn't need restore point and that the job is successfull

So, you’re saying that backup job that backups VM templates is chosen as a source for backup copy job, and this backup copy job always fails because it can’t find any valid restore points, right? Thanks.

yes, it seems it can't copy templates to the second site because templates are only backupped in full backups and all the templates have a failed status in the copy job and so the copy job has a failed status also.

Backup copy job has a “failed” status, since it wasn’t able to copy restore points for certain VMs (templates). Though, restore points for the other VMs apart from templates should be created without any issues. Thanks.

Hi Johan, as mentioned in the thread referred above, this was fixed back in v8, though some corner cases are possible.
