Hello,
Support ID: #02931412
We have Veeam 9.0 running backing up 1 ESXi 6.0 host. We purchased a new server and licenses, installed ESXi 7.0u3 and Veeam 11a on new server.
I plan to use CopyVM function to copy my 3 VMs on old host to new host. When everything works fine on new host, I will decommission old host and Veeam 9.0.
I thought I can connect both old and new host to Veeam11a, and do the operation. But in that case I think my old Veeam 9.0 will fail to connect and my old backups will stop. Of course I can just schedule new backups on the new 11a. But then I will lose my old repo and 2 weeks of backups.
I will be glad if you can advise best practice in this scenario. To summarize I want to copy my VMs to new host, and if possible keep my old backups.
Thank you in advance for your help.

yes, sure. Why should it fail?I thought I can connect both old and new host to Veeam11a, and do the operation.
Best regards,
