Hi,
Currently using Veeam Backup & Replication 7 with R2 patch installed. We've got 2 vcenters:
Old vcenter - vmware 5.1
New vcenter - vmware 5.5
I'm trying to copy our vmware templates (Windows 2008R2, 2012 & 2012R2) from the old vcenter to the new one. Tried creating a Veeam replication job but it says "VM templates cannot be added to job".
There's a File Copy option that seems to allow me to copy the template's files from its current datastore to the new vcenter's datastore. Couple of questions:
1. Will this work?
2. If yes, will it inflate the template to the full provisioned size? Or will it keep it at the thin provisioned size like in the old datastore?
Thanks.

Re: Copy Vmware Template to Different Vcenter
Hi,
1. Yes, that would work.
2. Yes, disks will be converted to full provisioned, as these disks cannot exist without being attached to a registered VM.
Thanks!
