Hi, I have this error on one VM for some days. This VM has no snapshots, and is Windows2000 Server. Veeambackup version is 3.0.2. I tried some post on forums and restarted the server but situation remains the same, tried VSS but not available on Windows 2000. What to do ? Thanks

Hello, you should disable Veeam VSS integration (Backup Consistency step of Backup Job wizard). Windows 2000 does not support VSS at all.

Re: CreateSnapshot failed, vmRef 80, timeout 1800000
Hello,
Could you tell us whether you're able to do a snapshot for this VM using MOB (Managed Object Browser) with quiesce option enabled? You should connect using Ip address to your VC or ESX host (it depends on how this VM is added to your backup job), and do the snapshot.
Also can you tell us whether you have any pre-freeze scripts used probably?
If you need instructions of how to do a snapshot using MOB, please write us to support@veeam.com.
Thank you.

Re: CreateSnapshot failed, vmRef 80, timeout 1800000
Hello,
I tested a snapshot with "snapshot the virtual machine's memory" checked from VI Client: It's Ok.
I contact support to do it with MOB that I don't know.
We don't have any pre-freeze script.
