What are the advantages and disadvantages of using the two methods?

Just a hint on this, if you use Encryption, I strongly recommend that you log your credentials in a proper password manager. Veeam's is fit for purpose within the context of Veeam, but I'm just a nervous nancy about these sorts of things, and we've lost passwords before...

Or use Enterprise Manager for its password recovery stuff.
