Data Domain DDOS 8.0 / Veeam 12.1

We are deploying a new Data Domain 6400 and the engineer mentioned that according to Dell, DDOS 8.0 is supported with Veeam 12.1
Can someone please confirm this for me, before I give myself major headaches.

Dell Data Domain (DD OS version 7.3 to 8.0) with DDBoost license. Note that Veeam Backup & Replication version 12 (build 12.0.0.1420) also supports DD OS versions from 6.2.
Both Ethernet and Fibre Channel (FC) connectivity is supported.
