Database connection settings for the Microsoft Entra ID backup repository cannot be found, Veeam KB4653 missing

Post by dejan.ilic » 1 person likes this post

MSSQL DB backend, but attempting EntraID backup. Postgresqlu installed by the update is still installed on the server.
Got the error "Database connection settings for the Microsoft Entra ID backup repository cannot be found. Configure the repository according to this KB article to continue."

Unfortunately the KB4653 is missing and the full documentation does not provide any help on what should be done to make this work.
My understanding is that Postgreql is required, but if we start with EntraID only right now, can we migrate from MSSQL DB for VBR later on to the same Postgresql DB?

Please wait a little bit as some release materials are still being published, including this Support KB.
Support KB folks need to update tons of existing KBs with every release so they're a bit overloaded.
Meanwhile you can just open a support case for assistance.

Yes, you can and moreover this is the transition I'd recommend at this time.
