DataCore Storage SnapShot Backup Feature Request

Hello Forum,

we use SDS from DataCore and we would like to use Storage Snapshot Backup's.
Where is the Problem, that this Vendor is not in the supported "list" for Storage Snapshot?

Is the problem technical or political ???

Hi we are actual user of VEEAM B&R on our VMware infra.
We are trying Datacore products, and we have lots of differents answers from consultants on the integration of that SDS in Veeam B&R.

I have notice two documents about it :

Do you have implemented that architecture with a ESX / Proxy dedicated to manage Datacore snapshot and present them to Veeam ?

Do you try VEEAM out of the box for backing up a VM hosted on a Datacore VM ?

After briefly reviewing the second link, I can see that the process implies manual creation of the snapshot, manual presenting it to the host, manual VMs registration, etc. - I wouldn't call this "integration".

Hi, foggy that's true. Some scripts could help to achieve it, but it is a quite complex setup for so less "service".

Rumors about the integration of Veeam with DataCore are floating around since v7.
Would be really great to see the integration come true one day but I guess it's all about licensing aka paying for the integration to be coded.
In a SDDC environment the integration with DataCore is also my priority #1 feature request.
