Age old subject, but I just need a quick answer pls.
DC's are currently part of an existing job that contain other member servers. We've only just noticed there's no application aware processing being applied to these DC's, which I guess isn't good from a Domain restore perspective.
Normally I'd add some AD service accounts to the local admin groups of the servers to enable AW processing, no such group on DC's so do I have to use a Domain Admin account for this?
Also, are there any issues with just enabling this after all this time inside the existing job, any risks that I need to know about?
Thanks

Re: DC Backup question.
Hi Mark, yes, you have to use the Domain Admin account for application-aware processing of the domain controller. No risk in enabling it on existing job.
