Hi Yannick,

yes this is in theory possible but do not follow Veeam best practices.
Best practice is to write to a standard disk system or server with raid controller and local disks (Apollo / s3260/...)
and then create backup copy jobs one or more data domains.

If you create backup copy jobs between 2 data domains, you need to rehydrate data from data domain on source side which can take longer than expected. This is by design of DataDomain and performance depends as usual on the sizing.

And in case you still decide to proceed with this setup, keep in mind the location of the gateway servers for both repositories.

We have both site Site A and SIte B and We would like have one DD/Gateway Server on each site.
VM hosted on Site A Primary Backup on DD Site A and then Backup copy to DD/Gateway server Site B
VM hosted on Site B Primary Backup on DD Site B and then Backup copy to DD/Gateway server Site A

Hi Yannick, looks good. You can as well test without the target gateway server as DDBoost works well over WAN.

But remember what I shared above that it is outside of best practices as you would have to rehdrate data from the deduplication engine which can be slower than expected.
See my comment above for details.
