DDBoost error when running old backup job on new server

Post by kupi »

Hi Veeam community,

I'd like to start off by stating that I am fairly new to Veeam, so please bear with me as I try to explain our current situation. We recently upgraded from Veeam B&R 9.4.5 to Veeam B&R 11. A migration of the Veeam configuration was performed on the new server in hopes we could keep all of our jobs/configs and just change the repository they are pointing to. Old Veeam server used a local drive as the default repository; new Veeam environment is using Dell EMC Data Domain as main repo. I created 2 brand new, relatively small test jobs to make sure they would make it to the DataDomain CIFS share, and they did, with no errors. Here is where we are running into an issue: When pointing the existing jobs from the old server to the DataDomain, we are presented with the following errors:

8/8/2022 7:19:04 AM :: Failed to pre-process the job Error: Failed to call RPC function 'DDBoostFcWriteFile': Failed to open file '[datadomain.domainname.com] Veeam Storage:/jobname/backupfilename.vbm_2_tmp'. the user has insufficient privilege. Err: 5034.

8/8/2022 7:19:06 AM :: Error: Failed to call RPC function 'DDBoostFcWriteFile': Failed to open file '[datadomain.domainname.com] Veeam Storage:/jobname/backupfilename.vbm_2_tmp'. the user has insufficient privilege. Err: 5034.

I have a support ticket open with Veeam but it feels like they are dragging this along. Any insight will be greatly appreciated.
