Good day.
We had termless licenses for sockets.
After the subscription and grace period expired, ddboost stopped working on write when backing up from hyper-v cluster:
Error: Backup to Dell EMC Data Domain via DDBoost requires valid Enterprise edition of Veeam Backup & Replication
At the same time already made backups from the Dell EMC Data Domain storage are opened.
Is this the way it should be or is it a bug?
I also noticed that some settings became inaccessible. As if the functionality has been moved to the community version:
Your license info in our system tells me, that you are using a socket and VUL license (instance license). Your VUL license is a subscription license. Subscription licenses do expire and must be renewed. We grant 1 month of grace period, but then backups will stop.
If you merge your socket license with a VUL license, the license expiration of the VUL license will take priority.
To continue to use the socket license, remove the instance license from your backup server. Make sure only the socket license is installed.
Fabian, thank you very much for your help!
After uninstalling the iinstance license ddboost started working. Storage latency control became available. Agents switched to the free license state and worked too.
