Our VBR servers are VMs running in VA mode on Windows server 2008.
If I use a dedicated LUN just for the VBR servers rather than one that has other VMs runnng on it, will there will a noticiable improvement in performance?
Should this LUN also be big enough to accomondate the largest VMDK file I am likely to need backing up as well?
Thanks.

Re: Dedicated LUN and sizing for VBR servers
Hello,
It depends on how heavily other VMs use disk IOPS under that LUN, but I don't think there would be a noticeable improvement if using a dedicated one.icebun wrote:If I use a dedicated LUN just for the VBR servers rather than one that has other VMs runnng on it, will there will a noticiable improvement in performance?
