Deduplication Disk Alignment and registry key

Hi,

While investigating the disk alignment option for backup repositories, i noticed in one post the community manager noted that the checkbox does not work without the addition of a registry key to the backup proxy server.

Is this still the case in veeam b&r 6.1 and if so, where is this documented, what is the setting and can someone please link me directly the kb that states this?i have attempted searching on these forums to no avail for said information.

Any info would be extremely useful.
