Hello and Good Day Veeam Community....
I heard rumors, and verbage here and there about this topic, so I wanted something official. I checked the release notes of 9.5 Update 3 and saw no mention of it. But I heard somewhere that Update 3 was going to disable the ReFs block clone functionality on a Windows 2016 Version 1709 box.....is this true? Then I heard it will be disabled on a ReFs volume that uses deduplication on a Windows 2016 Version 1709.
Can someone from Veeam state here and in the clear officially under what scenario that ReFs block clone functionality will be disabled on 9.5 Update 3 and Windows Server 2016?
And if none of what I stated above is true, then I guess state that as well....
Thank you as always, and Happy Holidays!

Re: Definitive Stand on ReFS And Windows 2016 Version 1709
Hi, Harold. Update 3 disables block cloning on ReFS 3.3 volumes with built-in deduplication enabled (which is the new feature of Windows 2016 version 1709). There are no other changes. Thanks!
