Deleted the VIB by mistake

Post by kevin_cambs_uk »

Hi there

My backup finished but I over wrote the VIB file by mistake, the little 100K or so one.
Now I have all the backups in order with the incremental, but how can I get back to the latest restore point with out the VIB file? or can I re run and it will create a new one?

many thanks

Kev

If you've deleted one of the increments, you have to create active full to start backup chain anew. You will however be able to restore to any restore point prior to that increment (up to the corresponding full).

I didn't delete the incremental but the little file VBM , sorry I got the extension wrong, so I have all the back up files and incremental, but not the VBM

Then you're safe. VBM file will be recreated on the next job run.
