We have a Microsoft SQL 2016 Always On Availability Group - in Basic mode, due to using Standard Edition. Obviously Veeam is only able to carry out a successful backup of the active server, but occasionally SQL will fail-over to the standby node, and I'd like to work out a way to get Veeam to pick the right node for backups.
Is it possible to use the PowerShell commands to detect which node is active, then run the Application Aware job against that one?

Re: Detect primary SQL server in Basic Always On Availability Group?
Hi Stephen, full support for Basic Availability Groups will be added in Veeam B&R 9.5 U4. Thanks!
