Documentation on Veeam Explorer for MS SQl Server

Post by jascher »

I am looking for better documentation than seems to be available in the help menu for restoring a SQL database using Veeam Explorer for MS SQL Server.
One way to open the Explorer is through the Backups node on the inventory pane in VBR, selecting the machine, application items, and restore MS SQL server databases. You can then restore the database, or choose a particular restore point.

At this point, it is a bit like diving off the diving board, not knowing that there is water in the pool. ( From the standpoint of the documentation.)

You next click restore.
Where in the documentation, or overview, is there an indication of what you are restoring to, at this point?

I realize that this opens the Veeam Explorer, but this does not seem to be spelled out anywhere.

Does anyone point out a better blog post, or doc that I can use?

Hi, we have documentation specific to Explorers available in our helpcenter. Restore logs can be found in the history of VBR.
