Does replication include information held in memory?

If I have a linux machine runniung an openedge database, and I replicate the VM, how will Veeam copy the information in the VM's memory as well as the database tables and files?

Will I have the same issues of starting and stopping the database?

Hi Michael, VM memory is typically never included in backups or replicas (with any backup solution). What you should do to ensure that there is no data loss, is quiesce you application during hot backups. For Linux, you do this with VMware pre-freeze and post-thaw scripts.
