Don't understand what's SAN with failover mode
Hello
I read manual already.
I want use SAN with failover mode in our envirnoment:
We have two ESX server with SAN storage, one ESX connect to this SAN storage via iSCSI, another ESX is standalone.
If we use SAN with failover mode with replication and then SAN storage inaccessible, what happen will be occur after I click failover ?
Thanks !

Hello, SAN with failover mode means that provided your SAN connection is not accessible any more, your replication job will switch to vStorage API - Network mode automatically to continue transferring the data. There is nothing to do with replica failover option within the Veeam console. Hope it helps!

Hello
So after switch to network mode, that ESX connected SAN will be use back local storage for Network mode to replica
with that standalone ESX with local storage?
Thanks !

After failing over, your replication job will be using network stack to access VMs while transfering them to your standalone ESX host.

No, Network mode can also be used with shared storages.

Re: Don't understand what's SAN with failover mode
In case SAN direct connection from the backup console is inaccessible, VM data will be retrieved through the ESX host over LAN.
